Re: Alternative Modem to HH4

Ah perfect. Are you supplied with the information you need for the PPPoE username and password when you get your install pack?

Just found this, should be suitable I think.

Re: Alternative Modem to HH4

Oh so the password is simply my phone number?

I had a quick look over the forum policy I could find. What part of the policy is the link in violation of? (Not being difficult just want to understand)

Re: Alternative Modem to HH4

you should not post links to items for sale on any site apart from BT.  if you don't remove it the mods will  if you check the forum you won't find any others.

the password cab be anything most use something like BT

Re: Alternative Modem to HH4

Yes but where is this in the guidelines?

It's not like I own the website I was asking for opinions.

So the PPPoA has generic username and password and isn't account specific?

Re: Alternative Modem to HH4

Yes, disappointing that the forum has a restriction as such but I suppose I shouldn't have expected anything less.

When you say authentication is on phone number do you mean it authenticates automatically based on the number being registered for broadband with BT?
