For some weeks now when I log into My BT to get access to my online billing screen and wish to access my ADDRESS BOOK to update a telephone number it fails.
When I click on the ADDRESS BOOK I can get the ADDRESS BOOK window on the screen but it then sits doing nothing for several minutes and my HUB flashes away like mad and then a message appears in the ADDRESS BOOK window saying "ERROR 503 Service unavailable".
Does anybody else have the same problem? I have contacted BT by E-mail and spoken to them on the phone (several different parties) but cannot seem to get a satisfactory answer apart from acknowledging that it appears there is a server problem.
I cannot believe that this is an unknown problem within BT having existed for some weeks and I am appalled that no detail of the problem or indication of rectification has been forth coming from BT. It appears that they do not consider this important or that it is part of the service one pays for with BT BROADBAND.

Have tried to e-mail you details twice but BT YAHOO says it is unable to send. Have used the following e-mail address which I believe is correct so why does the mail fail. firstname.lastname@example.org
What do we need to do to rectify my problems?????

Thanks John46. Not sure where I got the e-mail address I used from my e-mail address book but that was obviously why my mails failed.
Apologies for my Senior moment.
Today tried address book again and lo and behold up it came.
Then tried to update some numbers and all was ok until I tried to input no. 03456088888. It then came up with an error stating that the second digit must be a 1.5,9 etc.
However when I went to my recent calls it showed the 0345 no. and when I clickeed on it I was given the opportunity toidentify a name referring to the number. I did this an went back to the recent calls and it had made the change and updated the Address Book.
But why will the Address Book update not accept the number 03456088888??

I've also had problems with the address book, if you try and sort the entries in "name" order, it doesn't work as you'd expect (the other columns of home, work and mobile seem to be OK).
Has anyone else seen this and is there a way around this?
Hi, All I can see in my address book is my name and the words address book. There are no names/number in it nor any way I can enter them. However I am able to put names in the details section of my telephone bills each month but nothing appears in the address book. The call centre in India is useless. After many phone calls over the last 3 months and different people trying to solve the problem the chap I spoke to last week said it is not a problem they can solve and suggested I email BT at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Has anyone had success in sorting out their problems this way.
