BT incoming socket

Go to solution

Hello BT Community ☺ 🤗,

Please see the attached photos 📷:

Now as you can see that incoming BT box is coming in from the outside too inside of my property, the box is very old has been dangling when I moved into the property. The previous tenant was an old lady who had it installed into the 1970s or 1980s. Can I please get this replaced 😔 I don't want this getting broken by my family members or myself. I don't have £130 quid or whatever it is to replace it.

That is just a junction box where the incoming openreach cable joins the internal wiring.  It is property of openreach. If your conenction is working fine then openreach won't replace it working on principle 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'
