Is there any noise interference on the phone line? and if you are unable to get any connection can you post back and let us know what colour are the lights on your hub.

is this a new home? have you had broadband on the line before from any ISP?
have you checked there are no other sockets in your home?
if you plug hub into test socket with a filter what colour is the hub light?
