Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

Hi All,  hoping someone can help.  3 Months ago I was getting 1.7-1.8mb BT Vision worked, I could stream movies and watch iplayer.  My exchange (but not my cabinet) was upgraded so although half the village have infinity I don't and what's more is  my speed which dropped to 700kbps although having increased is now only back to 1.2mb.

I have had numerous calls with advisors who say they have re-set profiles, sent a HH3, suggested new filters etc etc but still nothing has improved and I am still not back at previous speeds. The hub is plugged directly into the test socket section of the master.

HH Manager currently shows

Line state:Connected
Connection time:1 days, 00:36:57
Downstream:1.406 Mbps
Upstream:448 Kbps

ADSL Settings
VPI/VCI:0/38
Type:PPPoA
Modulation:G.992.1 Annex A
Latency type:Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up):8.0 dB / 17.0 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up):61.9 dB / 30.0 dB
Output power (Down/Up):17.2 dBm / 12.4 dBm
FEC Events (Down/Up):13212 / 724
CRC Events (Down/Up):12 / 327

BTW speed test results show

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.23 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :1.44 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1.25 Mbps

The IP profile dropped since put in a new filter in yesterday

Below is a graph from the SamKnows dashboard

Can anyone interpret this dats and make any suggestions on my next steps with this problem

Re: Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

you have a higher than normal noise margin once you can post 3 days stable connection the forum mods can then arrange a noise margin reset which will improve your speed

Re: Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

were your stats and btspeedtester results done at same time just the conenction speed from router is not same as btspeedtester figure.

your profile is controlled by your conenction speed not other way round - so to get a higher profile you need a faster conenction speed

Re: Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

Today Hub manager says

Line state:Connected
Connection time:0 days, 08:07:25
Downstream:1.594 Mbps
Upstream:448 Kbps

and BTW test says

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.2 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :1.63 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1.25 Mbps

I dont understand and I don't seem to be able to get this accross to anyone I speak to.

Re: Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

Have you tried the quiet line test to see if any line noise?

Re: Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

Hi gazamataz,

What's causing the DSL connection to drop? as you only have an ~8 hour uptime connection?

Constant dsl connection drops/resyncs can cause the sync rate to decrease, noise margin to increase or IP profile to decrease

Re: Broadband speed dropped 3 Months ago and wont go back to previous speed

Can you post the full adsl stats including errors not just the abbreviated version

did you try quiet line test to check for line noiseas that could well be cause of dropping connection?  Are you still in test socket?
