Broadband speed issues

Go to solution

Hi,

I have been having issues with low speed/connection for some time.  I used to get speeds of upto 4.0 Mbps.  I am now only getting at best 2.8 and home hub seems unable to maintain a connection for more than a few hours at a time.  This is fine for web browsing but not very good for viewing iplayer.

I have a Home Hub 3, connected to master socket, quiet line test ok, stats below:

Any help appreciated.

If you maintain a stable connection for 3 days + you can then get the forum mods to reset your noise margin reset and this will increase your connection speed again

Have you tried connecting to the test socket and see if that helps you maintain connection?

Re: Broadband speed issues

If you can connect to test socket then repost stats and then if it stays connected repost stats again tomorrow so we can see how the errors have increased and whether that is possibly causing a connection problem. As you are on fast a change to interleaved may help stabilise your connection

Re: Broadband speed issues

Now just leave in test socket and see if it will now stay connected and stable. If so repost stats tomorrow to see how the errors have increased. If ok then just stay connected for 3+ days and mods will help by resetting noise margin to 6db which will give an increase in connection speed and therefore faster download speed
