Call Center Dead-end for Gaming Issues

Hey Guys,

Been a while since I've posted but I'm having some major issues with my Internet again and the call centres are about as much use as a chocolate firegard.

Basically I'm have big problems playing online games. This has always been a bit of problem intermittently but recently its been impossible.

Speedtest.net is reading my PING at over 600 and I've lost 1mb download speed so I'm now down to 1.5mb

My usual speeds are around 60ping and 2.5 download.

Like I say, I've called BT about this and they are telling me there is no problem with my broadband and Premier Calls tell me that there is no fault on the line so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as you can imagine.

I'm using a BT home hub 3.0 and I've just found port forwarding using http://192.168.1.254 but I doubt this can help me with a ping of 600.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Simon

Re: Call Center Dead-end for Gaming Issues

I could not hear any noise on the line but coincidentally the problem seems to be calming down since I started this thread.

Re: Call Center Dead-end for Gaming Issues

The ping times are about correct for an interleaved connection
