Our local exchange in Winchburgh has been upgraded to ADLS2+ allowing speeds of up to 17Mbps. But when I go onto dslchecker.bt.com it still shows that I can only get speeds of up to 7Mbps. Our friends in the street next to ours can get ADSL2+ at 17Mbps according to the dslchecker. Why would this be? 😞

What I don't understand is our friends house is only 40 feet away and they can get the increased speed. I would have thought that I would have seen some kind of gradual increase/decrease rather that a clear cut 'Yes you can get it or' 'No change'.
Unfortunately no two lines are the same. This is an example of that There are just too many variables that come into play 😞
