Cant get stable connection

Hi all,

I posted few days ago about a crackling phone line:

https://community.bt.com/t5/ADSL-Copper-Broadband-Speed/Broadband-disconnects-and-crackling-phone-li...

That has now been fixed, although we never saw an engineer, I presume they fixed it somewhere else?

However we're still getting frequent disconnections, just this morning it's disconnected 3 times in 10 minutes. This is a brand new Hub 3, sent from BT, plugged into the test socket.

Here are the stats from the current connection:

Line state:Connected
Connection time:0 days, 00:05:23
Downstream:15.55 Mbps
Upstream:1.093 Mbps

ADSL Settings
VPI/VCI:0/38
Type:PPPoA
Modulation:G.992.5 Annex A
Latency type:Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up):4.5 dB / 5.0 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up):27.0 dB / 16.4 dB
Output power (Down/Up):19.3 dBm / 12.4 dBm
FEC Events (Down/Up):196904 / 0
CRC Events (Down/Up):189 / 14
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote):0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote):0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote):0 / 0
HEC Events (Down/Up):4877 / 85
Error Seconds (Local/Remote):6216 / 1142

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest anything please? This is getting crazy now, I was hoping the problem was the noisy line, but now its silent and we're still getting these disconnects.

Thanks

Re: Cant get stable connection

Is the phone line totally quiet now?

Is the home hub restarting, or is just disconnecting then reconnecting?

Have you checked that everything is plugged in securely, and have you tried a different microfilter?

The errored seconds seem to be excessove for the short connection time. Have you tried restarting the home hub to see if it can establish a more stable profile?
