Change connection back to adsl2+

Go to solution

After a trail on infinity, I have chosen to revert back to my original standard broadband. Because of the distance from the exchange the adsl2+ provides better speeds. The line was stable at 11mbs + whereas the infinity only produced 5/6 at best 8 but the upload was better.  The service has now changed back but has gone to ADSL which is not able to get back to the original speeds. Please advise how I can get this to connect back on the adsl2 or adsl2+ i presume this won't happen automatically.

Re: Change connection back to adsl2+

@IanJ3 I called there but missed you. You're already connected to the ADSL2+ equipment but there's a cap on the upload, I've arranged for that to be lifted and you should notice an improvement by tomorrow. Can you post back and let me know if you're happy everything is resolved Smiley Very Happy

Re: Change connection back to adsl2+

Thanks for your message and prompt response. The upload speed has increased which is great. I do however think that the modulation is stuck on G_992_1_ANNEX_A which has a max download speed of 8MB, which is the max on ADSL I understand, and not on ADSL2 or ADSL2+ which it was on was settled at around 11mb+ for many months before I tried infinity. A router restart this morning still remained the same stats below
