Connection Issues, very slow at late times, any tips?

Hi all. 


So first things first sorrry about my English/Grammer as that is not my stonge area, also im a gamer and i like playing games so i stay up quite late...


So by the day everything is fine no issues at all with the internet but when around 10:30pm+ when everyone else is at bed and im still up playing games the internets falls like really bad, always after about 10:30. Everyday and i really dont know why or how to fix it?

I even went into the router settings and blocked every other device but mine to actually connect to the internet. Also i even tested the internet with my laptop connected with the eithernet cable and still same bed results.


Sometimes the internet is fixed for about 10min after i reset the router but then its becomes very laggy again.

So any help, tips and or sujestions would be very very helpful.

P.S: I live in the country side so (avrage speed is 2-6mb/s)  but you would exspect from the country side that the ping should be god as not many people using it?


P.S 2: Its the Smart Hub so the newest hub.

Hi Welcome to the community forums

Have you tried the quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 you should hear no noise if you can hear noise then it needs reporting to BT faults on 151 with no mention of broadband in the call are you connected to the test socket using a new filter

if using a hub 4 locate these lines located in the hub logs
Lines should look like this
19:11:29, 07 Nov. (2290101.460000) DSL noise margin: 7.00 dB upstream, 6.10 dB downstream
19:11:29, 07 Nov. (2290101.390000) DSL line rate: 448 Kbps upstream, 288 Kbps downstream

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.

Can you use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down.

This test must be done with a wired connection.

once you have posted the information asked for then the community members can help you more

if using the hub 6 locate the information page in the hubs advanced settings and post the results back
