Re: Connection loss overnight

Go to solution

Cheers John, it seems to be working now, but it doesn't display my profile, just some bar charts with speed info on etc and the message as stated in my previous post. Could it be to do with Firefox? I'll try again using IE...

Re: Connection loss overnight

...I've also just noticed another thread that talks about random diconnections early in the morning,

http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-Speed-Connection-Issues/Slow-Broadband-due-to-losing-connection-daily/...

Could ithese issues be connected and point to a router/firmware problem??

Re: Connection loss overnight

And it has happened again... I went to bed with a hub measurment of 3.16mb and I've woken up this morning with a reading of 1.8mb - This reading will not change until I reset my router, then it will bounce back up to 3mb+. What is going on? This is getting extremely frustrating now!

Could a Mod possibly look into this? I am finding it difficult to accept that BT cannot do anything about this issue when I retained a perfectly good connection and consistent speed with a competing operator - as many did, I switched because of BT Sport.

Here are the new readings from the wholesale test (note it has changed the 'acceptable range' and 'Max achievable speed' from 4mb to 2mb - this will change back when I reset the hub):

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

    Download  Speed
    1.65 Mbps

0 Mbps    2 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.65 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.8 Mbps-2 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 1.66 Mbps

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

    Upload Speed
    0.38 Mbps

0 Mbps    0.45 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.38Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.45 Mbps

Can anyone shed any light on the above? I really want to get this fixed before my repeated resets start to cause even worse problems... :smileysad:
