Re: DLM Reset

as I said already that you should go back to the tech who got you out of the banded profile and get him to fix the up speed as I doubt even if you can get a stable conenction that up speed will improve with manual assistance

Re: DLM Reset

Thank you BT, crucial changes have been made and my upstream is now set back on to the optimum.

And to give credit where it’s due BT have also tried to speed up my downstream, although I personally think that the downstream numbers are perhaps a little bit optimistic.

I will continue to monitor my connection for the next few days, but I’m really thinking that the downstream would be much happier with the lowest available setting of interleaving and a target signal to noise ratio of 6dB.

Undoubtedly a step in the right direction though. Thank you very much once again.

Re: DLM Reset

stats look really good with connection speed virtually at attainable speed and down margin at 3db giving that bit nore speed  now really hope the line stays stable and no drops resulting in interleaving then higher noise margin and lower speed   just need to keep monitoring

Re: DLM Reset

Thanks for all of the replies buddy.

It’s actually looking pretty good at the moment as the latest connection analytics clearly show.

The recent changes that BT have made has resulted in a vast improvement, so kudos to them for that.

Thank you very much British Telecommunications...Buzby would be proud.

Re: DLM Reset

Yeah let’s hope so, and to give a little more credit where it’s due...A few more screenies that help to show the overall line statistics picture.

Re: DLM Reset

If I had just one more thing to say...lulz.

BToR Green Cabinet 175 (Exeter, Devon) desperately needs a FTTC upgrade, FTTP would be even better haha.

Only 7 remaining steps left on my Metropolitan/City Centre journey to BT Superfast Fibre...

I’d settle for Annex M aka ADSL2+M in the meantime. But that’s never widely available either, I only ever had it once, on a Plusnet (BT Group) business line.

Re: DLM Reset

Oh dear...so here we go again.

Sorry it’s official, BT’s technical support team are absolutely diabolical. What a total waste of my time.

I just asked for a referral link to write a BT customer review for Trustpilot and she didn’t even know what it was...lulz.

Re: DLM Reset

Knowledge is power so they say. Let’s look at a few facts...

Approximate connection drops for the month of August that were supplied to me by a BT support agent representative:

_______

• 24th = 55

• 25th = 77

• 26th = 64

• 27th = 35

• 28th = 66

• 29th = 10

• 30th = 20

• 31st = 40

_______

So...just over those 8 confirmed days that’s 367 connection drops with a current average of 46 drops per day.

I’m starting to think that the best thing about BT...will be leaving them.

Re: DLM Reset

Go to solution

with that many drops in connection you must be in banded profile with a rock bottom connection speed  can you post current router stats

any noise on quiet line test?  looks like you need an engineer visit

unless you move to virgin cable then it will be the same line from exchange to your home with the same problems with another ISP using openreach lines
