This is a question not a complaint.

For Months now I have been having broadband dropouts up to 200 per day which have caused DLM to perform its main function "stabilise" the line which drops the speed.

We had a visit from Openreach , long story short. I realised that the dropouts happened when it was raining and windy, he tested the external lines up and down the road and eventually discovered the problem, the line into the house was severely damaged where it went through a large tree to the extent that the outer covering was completely gone and the copper wires were exposed, result, problem now fixed.

He did an SNR reset. The download has been rock solid @6db but the upload is 28.5db this is causing my upload speeds to be much slower than they should be <> 300kbs and download is <> 12Mbps

Will DLM eventually sort this out, last time it took 5 weeks to get back to normal.

Re: DLM

Go to solution

looks like your up speed is stuck.  if you can get 7 days stable and not change then post back and can see if mods can get up speed reset

Re: DLM

Go to solution

Just maintain connection and it should drop noise margin further which will give increased speed
