Day 11 of no telephone line, lack of communication from BT

Afternoon.

On Friday the 21stof July, an overhead cable was struck outside our house, taking down my line, and 2 others. After 2 engineer visits, multiple missed appointments and a general lack of trust in the Indian call centre staff. I thought I'd try to post here.

I'd love to know know what I can claim for, days off work waiting for engineers , to purchase of extra data for my phone. Also some idea as to a timeline for an eventual fix.
**edited by Mod** is one of my claim numbers.

Kind regards

Afrojohn

Re: Day 11 of no telephone line, lack of communication from BT

Many thanks, I saw that table, I was more concerned with actual costs like now TV,Netflix and the top up data I've purchased for my phone to send this message, and live chats with BT. Also if I were to purchase a mobile internet dongle, would they pick up the tab? Answers like this.

Once again thanks for the fast reply, really appreciated

Re: Day 11 of no telephone line, lack of communication from BT

Its unlikely you would be able to claim any refund on services like Now TV, as they are not provided by BT. You may be able to claim for a mobile dongle by filling in the claim form.

If there has been major damage to the external network, then Openrach may declare MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control), which will limit the amout of compensation they pay to Service Providers like BT.

Hi @afrojohnny,

How did things go with your manager's callback? If you need any help, post back and I'd be happy to take a look at your complaint.

Thanks
