Re: Dlm optional?

Go to solution
Hi gents,
Just for an update, unfortunately now back to the same problem, stuck on 2279 sync rate with 3300 attainable.
The problem is, it is rock solid at 6snrm and get a really good connection, but then because of this the dlm drops the snrm to 3, causing the drop outs and getting me stuck on a low sync rate again. If it would just stay at 6 I don't think I would be having any problems.
Probably the move to adal2 has not helped as it seemed more stable on dmt

Is it possible at all to be moved back to 20cn as the line seems to be more stable? The dlm seems very aggressive on adsl2

Maybe stay on adsl2 and see if mods can fix noise margin to 6db which will help stabilise your line and as long as stable DLM will not drop to 3db.  Will need to give up a bit of speed to get the 6db

Re: Dlm optional?

5da ys in now and still stuck on the 2272 profile (2mb) with 3300 attainable.
My connection was always brilliant around a 3300 sync speed, then the dlm would sync higher after a while nearer 4000 and this is what causes the drops and me ending up stuck on 2272.
Just a query, is it possible the mods can set a banded profile of 3328 on my line? This would possibly fix my problem as it couldn't sync me any higher? I'd be quite happy with that speed if is stayed stable and reliable , rather than suncing higher and getting stuck with lower speeds in the end.

can't set speed hence why I suggested setting noise margin but cannot fix it as with disconnections the DLM will override and take action

Ah, OK, shame speed can't be set, would of solved all problems, thanks for your response.
Is there pretty much nothing can be done bar reseting the line again?

Re: Dlm reset ease

you need to keep you posts in one place as the past history is needed to show ongoing problem

there is obviously a problem with your conenction and if not dropping then line errors resulting in DLM taking action to reduce speed and increase noise margin

should really remove the 'solved' as this is still ongoing

Yes, that makes sense, thanks a lot.
How do I remove it as 'solved'?
