No hardware, physical changes.

All left intact following use of router in morning.

utilised online checks through bt app. It said need to speak to engineer. However, being new year day, nobody available.

Powered off/on.
Reconnected cables.

no difference.

bt pretty useless.

  1. Do you have FTTP or FTTC?

Have you tried a factory reset of hub by pressing the recessed button on back and hold 20/30 secs until lights flash.

Have you checked if you have a dial tone - unless you have digital voice.

You need to phone CS 03301234150  and report the problem   you cannot speak to openreach engineer direct

Do you have broadband only or actually pay for landline use but just don't use it?

FTTP. OR. FTTC?

I don’t have FTTP. I don’t know where the cabinet is based either.
Suspect heavy rainfall causing issues

Have you checked for problems in your area?  If not just go to 'help' at top of this page

The most basic test is to check for dial tone but you will just have to phone CS 03301234150 and report fault

Thanks again. No reported problems in my area. The support number is unmanned at moment, so I have to wait until they open again.
