Re: Home Hub 5 software update

your lower connection speed would suggest a possible higher than normal noise margin therefore a reset could increase the noise margin further therefore further reducing your speed just leave it alone and given time it will reduce automatically and your hub will restart on its own the important thing now is stability

Re: Home Hub 5 software update

Ok John I will leave it, see if it goes up on its own, if Hub restarts itself.

No audible noise on line still, so will wait and see how it goes.

On future power cuts I think we will switch Hub off until Power definately staying on, especially if we have an outage late at night.

The multiple short power outages that one night did the connection no favours whatever.

Re: Home Hub 5 software update

Still connected nearly 3 1/2 days now, Hub connected speed and profile still stable at 1.92 and 1.5, hopefully will speed up a bit if connection stays stable.

Re: Home Hub 5 software update

it can take a time for the noise margin to drop back to its default just ensure the connection remains stable

Re: Home Hub 5 software update

Up for over 5 days and Hub decides to reset it self, so Hub connection and Profile speed dropped.

Still no audible noise on line.
