Hi all, I am not sure why I am getting such low speeds on BT Broadband, my current connection has been up for 4 days and 10 hours and my Billion stats show:
|Link Power State||L0|
|Line Coding (Trellis)||On||On|
|SNR Margin (dB)||15.1||19.0|
|Output Power (dBm)||18.7||12.1|
|Attainable Rate (Kbps)||4008||1040|
|K (number of bytes in DMT frame)||100||15|
|R (number of check bytes in RS code word)||16||8|
|S (RS code word size in DMT frame)||2.00||2.00|
|D (interleaver depth)||16||4|
|INP (DMT symbol)||0.59||0.09|
|Super Frame Errors||3650||1062|
|RS Correctable Errors||81372||344|
|RS Uncorrectable Errors||10263||0|
I have the target SNR set to 6 in the router settings but the SNR stays at around 15 despite this setting, when I had my line installed I had a lot of issues which turned out to be a damaged cable which BT repaired, the wholesale diagnostocs speed test show:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2.41 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.6 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
Your DSL Connection Rate :3.17 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2.5 Mbps
I had 5Mbps+ before the line issues, how can I get my speed back up?
Thanks in advance

welcome to the forum
your profile is correct for your current connection speed. the problem is your high 15db noise margin which is reducing your connection speed. as you have 4 days stable connection the forum mods will help reset noise margin back to 6db which will incresae your speed and therefore your profile.
