New Connection (to a new build) Capped on ADSLMax?

Hello,

Why is my new BT connection capped to 8Mbps i.e on ADSLMax? My line can quite clearly benefit from ADSL2+? (Yes the exchange is 21cn). How can I get this sorted out so im on ADSL2+, stats below (being connected for over 7 days)

6. Data rate:448 / 8128
7. Maximum data rate:1140 / 8128
8. Noise margin:25.0 / 14.6
9. Line attenuation:14.0 / 24.9
10. Signal attenuation:14.0 / 24.4
25. Modulation:          G.992.1 Annex A
26. Latency type:Fast

Thanks,

If the End User wishes to migrate from their current Broadband supplier they will need to contact them in the first instance to obtain a MAC (Migrations Authorisation) Code, and then contact their new Broadband supplier to arrange for the service to be migrated.

Re: New Connection (to a new build) Capped on ADSLMax?

Hi,

Tried it again and got the same result! I am also having issues with myBT account page where I cannot see any of the details about my account or activate BT Sport! I rang the call centre about the latter issue who after an hour decided they will need to look into it over the next couple of days!

Still regarding the broadband what can i do to get it sorted out!

Re: New Connection (to a new build) Capped on ADSLMax?

from what I can see cab 55 at SG13 7FZ is adsl2 enabled but also FTTC enabled  your new post code maybe what is causing the checker a problem

Re: New Connection (to a new build) Capped on ADSLMax?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, the cab 55 isn't actually FTTC enabled however the old one next to it is (acording to the Openreach man)! I have suspected the new post code is causing issues with the checker, which i suspect is why I am capped to 8Mbps! How can I get this changed to ADSL2+?
