Re: No Broadband connection

laying ducting at the same time is not openreach way - one job at a time

as I have posted before openreach dug a trench to get the cabs connected then filled it in and then laid the tar.  a month later power people came and dug up the tar and extended the trench so they could connect power to cab.  then fill trenched and re-lay new tar

Hi imjolly,

Just got off the phone to BT and they are claiming the faukt was fixed at 08:05, which it clearly was not.

The Indian gentleman wanted to run tests with me at home but I explained for the third time that I had to move out in order to get a connection.

After some disagreement we eventually agreed a compromise that I would return home in time for a call back between 10:00 & 11:00.  Should the problem not be fixed, as he claimed, then BT would pay my travelling expenses.

Despite initial refusals to pay, followed by a period of silence I am pleased to say that there was an ex gratia payment on yesterday's phone bill.

Best regards,
dfenceman

Good morning imjolly,

After a good spell with very low errors I had a huge amount yesterday.  Although showing nearly two days these all occurred yesterday despite the fact that I was out and the computer was turned off for most of the day.

What the heck causes these sudden error surges ?

Re: No Broadband connection

that's the penalty for ex gratia payment  lol

joking aside there is obviously some interference but appears very hard to trace and very intermittent
