the connection time is me resetting the router, i've had a specialist engineer out about the lin a month ago and he couldn't find any noise so i dont know
resetting your router is the worst thing you can do and nstead of getting connection speed back will actually make matters worse and eventually like you end up in banded profile
I still think you should try the test socket just to see if any improvement and eliminate your internal wiring.
did the engineer remove the bellwire from terminal 3 from all your sockets
Ok i will try the test socket
No the engineer didnt do the bellwire fix
When someone is put in the 'banded' profile how long will it take for the user to be 'unbanded'?
Thanks for the quick response
it normally take 3/5 days provided you can maintain a connection 24/7 and automatic system will release your line
Ok ill wait and see if it releases the line.
If it was the wiring what should I do as I cant practically use the master socket
if you tried the test socket then that will show if your connection stats impove then there is a problem with your internal wiring. if so then see if you can find a solution like powerline adapters or longer rj11 or rj45 cables
Ok a little disappointing to be honest, why not just fix the wiring problem? ethernet may be stable but its very awkward to implement in some houses, typical bt
all the internal wiring after the master socket is the customers responsibilty and if you callout engineer and problem internal wiring then you will get a bill for £130
ok i guess ill have to fork out more money for powerline adaptors because bt didnt fit the wiring 😞
it's probably worth trying the test socket to make sure this solves the problem before getting powerline adapters
