Sorry - it is the second one from left on top row - didn't realise it had one.

Yest it does, its  one of the new one.

Please connect things up as shown below, and see if you still get the noise on the phone.

Are there any other phone sockets or phone extension wiring in the house?

Thanks for that info.

What speed were you told to expect on your connection?

Which BT home hub are you using?

If you use this form, it should tell you your expected ADSL speed range.

Please enter your phone number into this form.

Re: Really bad broadband

Sorry but not sure how I attach the download to here. When I ordered it they said speed would be between 10 and 14 mbps with minimum of 5.88. Never other than for a few days had the minimum. I have a home hub 2

You can upload a picture using the camera icon.

Capture.PNG

I assume you mean you have the new smart hub 2, and not the old obsolete  home hub 2?

Can you please post the connection information?

Open a new web browser on your connected device and type 192.168.1.254 or bthomehub.home into the address bar. This will open the Hub Manager.  Click Advanced Settings’ and then ‘Technical log’

That`s fine, post whenever you can, and someone should be able to help.

I assume that its the connection speed you have problems with, and not the actual download speed?

Download speed needs to be measured using an Ethernet connected device, as wireless will give variable results.

Re: Really bad broadband

Just to let you know the reason I haven't posted the results is because although the hub shows a blue light the connection is so bad it won't even connect to the website to get the information. I will post it should I ever get a good enough connection.
