Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

Quiet line test is still clear with no obvious line noise. Both router and phone are still connected to the filter in the test socket.

Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

as you have 5+ days stable connection I would wait just now and as long as line stable then you should get out of the banded profile with noise margin dropping and speed increasing

Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

Unfortunately nothing appears to have changed in regards to the banded profile and SNRM!

I’m now at 11+ days stable connection which I hoped would have been enough for the DLM to record a stable line. I’ve routinely been checking the quiet line test, but it’s still clear!

Is there anything that could potentially be stopping the speed from recovering?

Over the weekend I noticed some strange patterns to the SNR which I don't know if could be REIN. But realistically, would electrical interference stop the banding from being released?

Here are my current stats:

Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

as you have 11 days stable connection try 1 reset NOT factory reset and see if that gets speed back  if not repost stats and will see if mods will get you out of banding

Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

@imjolly

Is it best to restart the router (keeping current settings) in the routers control interface? Not by turning it off at the wall?

Will the DLM think there is a problem if I restart?

Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

you want it to see a restart to see if it will release the banding.  if it stays the same then I will ask mods to help you

Re: SNR fluctuation and banded after line upgrade

The router has now been restarted but it looks like the banding is still there. Although the upstream has gone up to 828.

Thanks @imjolly for referring me to the mods.

Hi @JohnC2, I've now filled out the form. In regards to releasing the banding, is that something that can be done your end?
