Hi - I'm hoping there are some modders out there who could help?
A recent connection (2nd line) is stuck at 448k upload at 23dB SNR. Download is 8M (6dB SNR). So I'm guessing I'm stuck on ADSL Max.
BT say my exchange isn't ADSL 2+ equipped - haha! But of course it is, since I get:
Telephone Number xxxxxxxxxx on Exchange FAVERSHAM is served by Cabinet xx
Downstream Line Rate(Mbps)
Upstream Line Rate(Mbps)
|WBC ADSL 2+||Up to 1||--||1 to 3.5||Available|
|WBC ADSL 2+ Annex M||Up to 1||Up to 0.5||1 to 3.5||Available|
|ADSL Max||Up to 1||--||0.75 to 2.5||Available|
|WBC Fixed Rate||2||--||--||Available|
A different line to the same house (via Sky) gives me 8M download & 950 upload, so I know my line can do it.
Can anyone help me get changed to ADSL 2+?
The two lines are load-balanced, which works pretty well, but I'd prefer the 2nd line to match the 1st 🙂

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your post!
This is a weird one. I mean, you're getting a much faster downstream speed than what the availability checker says you should get but hey, who's arguing with that!

Thanks - I've now done that.
(The checker was saying upto 14M download a week ago, then dropped drastically - but my actual speeds haven't changed since the line was isntalled.)
Thanks to the mods - now upload is doubled to 896k 🙂
Great work - thanks!
Did you get much change in down speed or much the same?
It's now back to 444kbps 😞
DSL noise margin: 21.50 dB upstream, 6.00 dB downstream
DSL line rate: 444 Kbps upstream, 9528 Kbps downstream
It must have switched back a few weeks ago without noticing - although my kids have been complaining about a bad ping for a while...
Any mods out there that can take a peek at this again?
you are still on adsl2 and have not switched back to adslmax
This can happen if you have drops in connection and maybe manual resets trying to get speed back check logs and see if there are quite a few resets with short conenction times if problem is dropping connection then you need to fiind the cause otherwise and manual intervention will just end up back where you are in no time
