I have resently changed from a Hub 2 to a Hub 3 due to a fault with my Hub 2. With the Hub 2 i was getting around 3Mb.

Now with the Hub 3 i am only getting 0.25Mb. Can you please help.

are you connected to the master or better still the test socket?  is quiet line test ok - should hear nothing  dial 17070 option 2 and best with corded phone  if cordless then dull hum normal

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

These are my new stats. I have better downstream now but the internet still feels slow. Can't even watch a video on youtube. I was wondering if i would get better speed if i was on interleaved instead of fast due to the amount of errors i am getting.

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

are you connected to the test socket?  are you using a new filter and no extension lead   quiet line test ok?

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

there is something causing large numbers of crc/hec errors and error seconds and that is the reason your download/throughput is slow even though your connection speed is 3mb+

If you are conencted to the tes socket, tried new filter, quiet line test ok and not using an extension then you needd to contact the mods for help to get rid of your noise problem - change to interleaving would help

contact mods

can take up to 3 working days for mods to contact you

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

I am back on interleaved now and the internet is more usable now. But should i be getting this many FEC events and what could be causing it.

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

FEC errors are due to interleaving doing it's job.  I would be more concerned with the high number of error seconds suggesting line noise still

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

My Hub has reset again and speed when running bt speedtester has dropped to 1.28Mb.

These are my new stats.

What has happen to my modulation?

Re: Slow speed with BT Hub 3

the modulation will correct itself.

your slow throughput is due to the high number of crc/hec errors and errors seconds.  fec errors are ok and interleaving working
