Sudden Solid Orange Light

Go to solution

Hey there,

We had a localised and planned power cut today that lasted for 5 minutes. When the power came back on, the BT Hub 2 went from green straight into the solid orange light. It was working perfectly beforehand, but now several hours later is still not working.

Any help would be massively appreciated as the internet connection is currently vital for health reasons. I've tried calling but keep getting cut off after waiting for 30+ minutes.

Thank you.

Have you tried power cycling the router? Can you confirm your connection type ADSL/VDSL? Does your landline have a dial tone?

I have held the recessed button for 20 seconds - is this power cycling?

I think - based on a quick look online - that it is ADSL

I don't have a landline

Thank you so much for helping!

ADSL comes from the exchange. as well as the dial tone equipment, so you must have a landline connection, but I assume you do not have a phone you can plug in to try, as the lack of dial tone usually indicates an external line fault.

Hi @MichaelArch01 and thanks for posting.

Sorry for the late reply. Are you still having problems with the connection?

Cheers
