Upgrading to ADSL2+

Go to solution

Hi, I'm not yet a BT customer, but I'm moving into a flat that's got the worst connection possible. I can't get fibre-optic because the cabinet is too full, I can only get broadband that's between 5-10mbps. Reading online I learned about ADSL2+ and how BT provides a large percentage of its customers with. I want to know if it'd be possible for me to get it. The postcode is BN1 5AD.

Thank you!

Re: Upgrading to ADSL2+

Welcome to this user forum.

You will automatically be put on ADSL2+, unless you are a very long distance from the exchange.

Until you get a working BT Retail phone line, it would not be possible to determine your actual connection speed.

There are a lot of people with a much worse connection that you are quoting.

You will need to be connected to your home BT Broadband connection to view it, or any links to it that I post on this forum.

that postcode is the Brighton exchange which is adsl2/2+ enabled  your connection speed will depend on your distance from the exchange
