is the sky phone connection filtered not just a phone doubler
are there cables conencted to the back of the master in terminals 2 & 5? if yes are they secure and not loose
anything after the master socket whether internal or external is customers responsibility
Hmmm - would that also include when the cable that goes to the master socket goes straight back out again to a telegraph pole, then back in to the house from another telegrah pole, do you think?
The cable connections are fine, by the way, so would you say it's likely to be the wiring? Many thanks for your help - it's very much appreciated
if your phone works ok in the test socket then there is a problem with your internal wiring. remember your sockets will not work while the faceplate is not connected to the master socket
Thanks for that - one final question - would internal wiring also include when the cable that goes to the master socket goes straight back out again to a (BT) telegraph pole, then back in to the house from another (BT) telegraph pole, do you think?
I can't understand why a BT engineer woud connect to the master socket and go back out to pole and then back to a different socket. do you have 2 master socket NTE5 - ones with split face?
