I will do the test this evening then.
Thank you Distinguished Sage.
graphic 1 is ethernet test last night about 9:30pm
graphic 2 is wifi test last night about 9:30pm
This morning's speed is 6.9
I hope this is the information you need.
not quite so tiredbella
Looks like you have some hungry for BroadBand neighbours who have upgraded their usage during peak times since July and your at the end of the queue for bandwidth!!
(this'll be a tough one to sort out!)
Hello Aspiring Expert
Sorry about the screen size of the jpg - will try better next time.
Tests done at different times, but not sure what significance that has.
Re hungry neighbours, how would they do that?
It seems like congestion as it's happening at specific time. Not knowing how rural you mean by rural, but that suggests you are competing for limited bandwidth & the infrastructure is long overdue an upgrade.
Unless s'one with more knowledge about this has anyother ideas?
The new hub would've wiped logs unless recconect the old 1 with logs....should do it without connecting to DSL jsut to get the logs.
certainly appears to be congestion at exchange - speed good during the day off peak and then gets steadily slower after 4pm as you go into the peak period and then back to good again next day
this requires a capacity update at the exchange by wholesale but I was hoping there may have been something about an upgrade in the links I posted previously
