dramatic loss of speed, ip profile now 0.5m

Have been with BT broadband for 8 years with a consistent 8 connection and downloads around 7 until yesterday morning when the internet is hardly working at all.

Tests show the IP profile is set at 0.5m

 

Router is now plugged into the testing socket and bt claim to have reset the IP profile but nothing is happening.

 

They say I have to wait until Monday for them to call me back.

 

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the speed back?

 

This is for business use and although they have offered £30 compensation (!) it means we cannot trade until it is fixed.

Yes but as I have business broadband and a residential phone line even BT can't decide who I need to speak to.

Phone the business line, computer asks me to enter the phone numbers then they put me through to residential.

Just impossible to get anywhere.

given 3/5 days stable connection your IP Profile should restore automatically
