dropped connection

Go to solution

had issues with connection since joining BT in april, awful speed and connection compared to my previous isp O2, connected to master socket with a filtered faceplate, quiet line test is fine all be it with a cordless phone but i am still getting several disconnections daily. when the connection works it is ok, but i am really fed up with it know, does anyone know if i am able to leave my contract without penalty? as the service being given to me is not acceptable

Re: dropped connection

no you cannot cancel your contract without penalty
the cause of the disconnections must be found first as changing isps will not resolve the problem have you tried connecting directly to the test socket to eliminate internal wiring issues

Re: dropped connection

before going to that expense I wiuld connect your router to the test socket via a filter and repost the stats.  if that helps your connection then maybe it is time to replace SSFP
