internet keeps dropping out

what is acceptable for the number of drop outs per day

i have been having a ongoing problem for about a year now i have had engerneers out 4 times ,a new main socket, 5 new hubs and the problem is still happening it will sometimes stay connected for a day or two and then start dropping 3 or 4 times a day the longest it has stayed connected is 11 days and the most it has dropped out is 15 times in one day tried the online help and the phone line help but all they seem to do is send a new hub getting fedup with bt.

Is there any noise on your phone line when the dropouts occur?

Have you tried the quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 you should hear no noise if you can hear noise then it needs reporting to BT faults on 151 with no mention of broadband in the call

Hi @markythesparky,

 

Thanks for posting. Can you try connecting to the test socket behind the master faceplate and let us know if the connection still drops? If it does then we'll need to take a closer look at that for you.

after all the trouble i have had it is allways connected to the test socket just had 1day 20hrs connected then 2 drop outs
