leaving bt

hi was wondering if its possible to exit contract early if the bt service is only giving me under 10mb connection which struggles to play netflix sometimes  without incurring the exit fee?

What speeds did you sign up to ? if you're above the minimum guarantee then no you can't leave penalty free, if you're under the minimum guarantee then you have to allow BT the chance to restore it, if not then leaving becomes an option.
Check your past order confirmation to see what your minimum guaranteed speed is.

Welcome to this user forum. Unless BT say they cannot fix your speed fault, then you cannot exit without charge.

What connection speed were you promised when your contract started, and when did your contract start?

on the bt speed checker it says i have 9mb and the minimum speed they guarantee is 2mb download the maximum im able to download at is 1.1mbs

i started the contract in march at another address with 40 mb fibre then moved to central newquay and they havent enabled fibre here and have no plans to do so

If you're downloading at 1.1 mbs then your connection speed is 8.8 mbps, which is close to estimate and above the minimum guarantee.

Are you sure you are not confusing megabytes/s with megabits/s?
