poor broadband Upload speed

BT have just upgraded my home hub 2 to a home hub 3 to address poor download speed.  There has been a significant improvement for download speed.  great.  However, my Vodafone Suresignal now only works intermittently with my caller only hearing garbled speech, though I hear my caller fine

 

Looking at the various threads this seems to be because of poor upload speed.  Testing via the BT speed test, or speettest.net, my upload speed seems to vary from 100K to 320K with a typical speed of 200K.  The spec for suresignal says it requires 350K, so this seems to be the issue

 

I spoke to BT who say that 200K speed is acceptable and they do not guarantee any speed though the marketing says up to 1M.  they said they would "refresh" the line.  however this has made no difference

 

reading the various threads I can see that my exchange has been updated to 21CN and my line is an ADSL2+ (router says it is modulation G.992.5 Annex A).  I am about 1km from the exchange and the attenuation figures quoted from my hub are 20.4 dB / 10.4 dB.  So in theory I think I should be getting far higher upload speeds (up to 1.4M)

 

Checking the BT speed test it appears that line is capped at 448K, as diagnostics say Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.45 Mbps

 

Is there a way to improve upload speed without having to buy "infinity"

Can you post up the connection stats from your home hub please?

Can you also post up a screenshot of the results for your number from http://www.dslchecker.bt.com please.

And the hub connection stats?

Are you aware that BT Infinity is available to you? Infinity 1 would give you speeds of around 50meg download and 7-9meg upload.

yes I am aware of infinity but apart from upload speed, I don't need the extra capacity at present so why pay the extra.  Here are line stats
