you can see if you upgraded to fibre you could get connection speed in range 80/74mb

You may be able to gain a little more information from the event log, such as the SNR Margin, shortly after a resync.

I managed to get hold of the BT complaints service. My speed is now back to 4mbps. Thanks for your help.
