I am confused. BT PLUS already gives complete Wi-fi, a mini hub and smart hub 2. Are you removing items by changing people to Halo 1? The only advantage to Halo 2 appears to be home visits.

That's about the size of it if you already have a Smart Hub 2, in which case the only change as a BT Plus customer is the name.
Going to be honest, I am VERY suspicious of this new Halo package and it looks like BT might be trying to pull a fast one.
As youve no doubt read in the media, phone companies are going to have to offer existing customers deals equivalent to those offered to new customers. So if a new customer is being offered fibre for £36.00 a month, then an existing customer on the same package will at renewal need to be offered the same deal. My gut feeling is that Halo is being marketed to get around this change.
look at the BT prices for new customers
Regular Fibre 2 - 39.99
Halo Fibre 2 - 57.99!!!!!!!!!
What is the difference between these two packages? Some tech support and a stay connected promise.
But, if you are on "Halo" and it comes to the end of your contract, they only have to match what a new customer is being charged £57.99
Whereas regular fibre 2, they will be obliged to let you have it for £39.99
Looks very much to me like BT are trying to get existing customers onto a plan that will have an artificially high "new customer" deal to get round the change in the law. Personally I am getting about 3 emails a week as well as countless bits in the post trying to get me to switch.
Received phone call asking for feedback from BT employee wanting to tell me about improvements BT was making. Listened politely to his talk. BT was making broadband available in every room of your house, call centre in this country, home calls to fix broadband problems etc. He was sending out a new hub. If my old hub is working fine for me I don't even need to plug the new one in. Received the new hub and wasn't going to bother with it but CHECKED ONLINE. Imagine my surprise to learn my broadband package had been changed to halo 2. There was no mention of a new contract or a new price during the phone call. Phoned to complain and get my package changed back on 21 December and that was the last I heard from them. As of 5th January have still not heard back. They were supposed to send me a grey addressed bag to return the package via the post office, but needless to say, no word from them yet. Either they have been celebrating Christmas, Hogmanay and New Year for the last couple of weeks or they have no intention of sending me the bag to return their stuff in. BE WARNED EVERYONE - If you get a phone call asking to talk to you about improvements BT is making, tell them you are not interested and hang up fast. Will post back if I hear from them and manage to get rid of the unwanted and unsolicited **bleep** they sent me.
At last, someone rightly suspicious.
The whole pricing thing is nonsense, unnecessarily complicated.
Deliberate tactics. Ask the rail operators.

Sorry that your package was changed without your consent. Has everything now been sorted or would you like one of the MOD team to take a look into this for you?
How much is Halo on ADSLMax, which is all there is on offer where I live? I can download at a less-than-blistering 5Mbps, which is not bad, given that the restaurant up the road gets about 256Kbps... 😞
And yes, ADSLMax has indeed been obsolete for years (see Wikipedia) but like I said, that's all we can get here...
I have bt Halo2 internet went down rang up got the mini hub next day but appointment 4 days later between 8 and 1
What's happened to 2 hour time slot

Doesn't that apply to the home help service rather than fault repair visits?
