We have seen a new scam whereby the scammers are targeting BT customers and attempting to get you to click on a dubious link. The email states that your latest bill is ready to view and it gives you a link to click on to view your bill. This link does not take you to your MyBT account so don't click on it.
The email is more convincing than some we have come across as it also includes legitimate links to BT.com help content so customers can be tricked. I have posted a copy of what this email may look like.
This is a scam please do not click on the link. If you receive this email please do the following,
Forward the email to email@example.com then delete it
If a suspicious link was clicked or attachment opened/downloaded then run a virus check on your computer
If bank details were given out then contact your bank immediately and change your online banking passwords
