Hi just received a text, supposedly from BT telling me what the pin is to reset my password, but I didn’t ask to reset it. Text contains a supposed link to BT.com, which I haven’t clicked on. Is this a phishing or hacking attempt? 🤔 Any suggestions what to do?

It is a scam. Do not respond to it. You may get a follow up phone call telling you that your account has been compromised. This is also a scam.
Have a look at this rather long thread and in particular messages 120 which gives good account of the scam.
