BT Wifi on Kindle

There doesn't appear to be a BT Wifi app in the Amazon Store. What's the best way of connecting when out and about on Kindle Fire. Anyone done this?

Re: BT Wifi on Kindle

It does help. It would just be nice to have the features of auto connecting that the app does. Do you plan to upload the android app to the Amazon store?

Many thanks

Re: BT Wifi on Kindle

Hi Stuart

I don't plan on doing it as I'm just a customer like yourself:smileywink:

You could raise the idea in the forum ideas bank - http://community.bt.com/t5/Ideas-Bank/idb-p/IdeasBank - and BT may consider it.

Re: BT Wifi on Kindle

Unfortunately, a user cannot place any apps on the Kindle, cos it dont have any :smileysad:

The best you can do is with what is already in the o/s, not forgetting to put a bookmark in Project Gutenburg for the free books on the Kindles's browser.

I assume you're talking about the Kindle e-reader as opposed to the Kindle Fire the OP mentioned which is a 7 inch Android tablet on which the UI has been shelled by Amazon. There are oodles of Apps available in the Amazon store. Although the KF is tied to the Amazon store a brief web search for "Kindle Fire sideload" shows that provided you can lay your hands on the .apk file you may well be able to install the app up to and including replacing the shell.
