1 Month before connection.

Hi I moved house on the 29th of September.  I live in Ashington (NEAT).  Now I ordered a home move on around the 24th of September when my moving date became concrete and this had an active date of the 6th of October.  The house I moved to had their phone line with the Post Office and ordered their cease on the 22nd of September.  The line was not ceased until the 2nd of October.  Subsequently my home move order was cancelled and a new one started with a new active date for the phone line and broadband of the 27th of October.  This will be almost an entire month without phone or internet for what should be a fairly simple switch on as I haven't moved exchanges.  I asked for the date to be moved forward but was told by the Indian call centre that it wasn't BT's fault and so they wouldn't move the date.  Great customer service!!!!!!

BT do not provide or maintain the external network. This is done by Openreach who work for all service providers. BT do not get any special treatment.

Openreach would have given BT the next available appointment to do the work.
