Re: 100mb infinity

The 100mbps option is only for the very limited areas on Fibre To The Premises connections.

You can find out your profile by running the speedtest here.

If FTTP is not available in your area you cannot request it.

Your FTTC Infinity VDSL2 profile is already set at 17a so is ready for the 80/20 when it is introduced next year.

Whether that will be a free upgrade a, chargeable upgrade or whatever only time will tell

Re: 100mb infinity

I'm not in the fortunate position but I wonder for people who are.-

If you are on a FTTP connection (trial) or the checker shows it is available, but you don't want/need the high speed.....

Then I presume you can order the "FTTC type speed" 40 Mbps version to save a bob or two.

With the benefit of having that delivered direct to your premises thus pretty well guaranteeing you'll get the full 40Mbps speed.

Does it really make any difference what profile you are on at the moment, 8c or 17a. You cannot get the 80/20 speed till its available to you.

One thing I will point out to you is My Fritzbox was showing a profile of 17a since I installed the fritz 2 months ago.

Tried a Draytek and all it showed was 8c.

The fritz or the Draytek was obviously showing the wrong profile.

On the delivery, if that was from Mom in France, I take it he must have been out of stock because he is normally very fast.

Re: 100mb infinity

@PC- The FTTP trial started at 40/10 & I was put up to 100/15 at my request when I heard it was available. So I expect a lot of trialists have remained at the lower speed. I for one expect to be able to chose a lower cheaper speed when the trial ends as I cannot justify the expense on such high speeds that I really do not utilize at all.
