It is definitely the firmware update v0.26.03.01286-BT. My Epson XP830 stopped working and I have to disable the 5GHz in the BT Smart Hub2 to get the printer to print. Even though it will show on mac book as idle when both bands are active. Same for Epson iPrint if I wish to print from iPhone or iPad , will only connect when 5GHz band is disabled in the BT Smart Hub2 settings. It will not print when both bands are active in the Smart Hub settings. However the Nest thermostat, Google mini, Sony TV and Humax all work ok with both bands on. Everything worked fine before the latest update. A mod has already noted my Problem to submit to your engineers on another post.
Not too sure about this firmware update v0.26.03.01286-BT being the problem. Until I moved office from downstairs to upstairs I was having the same issue and the only way I could get my printer to work with my SH2 was a very long USB cable.
Then I got FTTP just before Christmas.
The new hub shows the firmware update on 20 April 2021 and the printer is still working but now on WiFi.
My configuration is
500 Mb FTTP
Hub with ethernet connection - ethernet no longer used since I had to move out of that room.
Everything is now working on WiFi viz:
6 devices in total, the first two are...
and the other four are working from the hallway disc
So everything seems to be working for me, a lot better (and faster) than when I first got my SH2 and I became an early contributor to this thread.
And it was all working when I moved into this new office (formerly a small bedroom) nearly six weeks ago and well before the firmware upgrade

It is the firmware update in my opinion, I am on FTTC as everything worked perfectly normal for years until that update occurred. The update is affecting some users in different ways when you read the 14 pages so far on this thread.
I am repeating this here as the v0.26 firmware update has knocked my system for six.
I have finally had to admit defeat 😂 Since the v0.26 update a bunch of my 2.4 GHz devices have become unstable and unusable. I was woken up at 3:00am by one of my smart lights (Hive).
1. My complete WiFi disc keeps flashing red. OK for about twelve hours then goes down and starts flashing red.
2. My Hive Hub 360 will only function connected to the complete WiFi disc. If I switch off the disc it completely refuses to work. Connects OK with excellent signal.
3. We have 3 Harmony Hubs, connect/disconnect constantly.
Dusted off the old Smart Hub (6A) with split bands. Now everything just works and are solid.
Thanks for the information.
I just wanted to share that my Naim Mu-so streaming music players (2.4GHz devices) no longer connect to the SH2 wifi network following the recent firmware update.
Yep my sisters HP printer would not connect either until the 5GHz band in the Smart Hub 2 settings were switched off.
On the latest firmware v0.26.03.01286-BT
The 5GHz band is blocking the 2.4GHz band on some peripherals for some reason
We just have to wait for a firmware update to correct the problem, apparently BT are aware
@lifeonmars @Henry1919 @VeteranISPUser I'm really sorry to see you're experiencing problems with your Hub since the recent firmware update. I've sent you all a private message so you can contact the moderation team with your details and we'll pass these over to the Hub team.
You'll find the private message by clicking on the envelope in the top right of the community.

Thanks @NeilO
Hi @NeilO
Thanks for your update. I can see that Firmware v0.26.03.01286-BT reached my SH2 on 17th April 2021. Please do you have any docs on what this firmware update changes, and what it has addressed?
Am currently running my SH2 with 2.4GHz only and currently cannot take advantage of the FTTP 500Mb down. Does this mean I can re-enable the 5GHz setting?
Many thanks.
I have also experienced problems this week: Sonos falls over more often than not and I can't connect to my Epson printer.
