We've been really busy over the last few days so could be a few days before we get back to you.
Thanks,
Paddy
It’s now a few days after application of the new firmware, and everything is still working as expected.
Many thanks to the mods for their help with this.
I have been experiencing problems for several days, both with SONOS devices and an Epson AirPrinter. When I realised this was a known issue caused by the Router, I tried to add my voice to the list of complaints. Kept getting bounced out of chat threads and unable to connect via phone or bot. What annoys me most is that BT claim only small number of users have been affected whereas I have been trying to add my name but have found it impossible - even tried Twitter but all the posts seemed to be about TV and Sports with no accessible channel for raising technical complaints. It is clear to me that BT has not changed over the years and has learned nothing about valuing input and engaging with users/customers.As soon as the contract is over, I'm outta here. What I need NOW is one of:
- a fix
- a route map and timeline to a fix
- clarity about where I can be kept up to date on progress to the fix
- an admission that this an unacceptable situation and some form of redress
I can confirm my hub's firmware has been updated to v0.26.04.04227-BT.
I went to my hub at 192.168.1.254 and then on Status page, I noticed the firmware updated date was today (10th May 2021) but it was still running the old firmware v0.26.03.01286-BT.
I rebooted my device and it's now running the latest firmware v0.26.04.04227-BT.
I think after BT pushes the latest firmware to your router, the router needs a reboot for the new firmware to take affect (in my case they might have already schedule a reboot later in the day but I rebooted it myself for the new firmware to take effect).
I can now connect to my HP Printer (which is on 2.4Ghz) from devices on 5Ghz. Hopefully the new firmware is a permanent fix but I will keep an eye and report if I experience the same issue on the latest firmware.
Having moved homes recently and switched to BT Smart Hub 2, I cannot connect any of my devices that need 2.4 Ghz. Can I get this Hub upgrade??
Just got firmware v0.26.03.01286-BT and can now see the printer again! Thanks
@nickpholden: I guess you meant you are now running v0.26.04.04227-BT (as v0.26.03.01286-BT is the old firmware)?
Hi @ledgie, @keithstephens, @Philast1ne ,
