@TimSmedley as said, you can connect a SONOS speaker or SONOS Boost to the router using Ethernet. This then bypasses the Wi-Fi network creating its own SonosNET mesh network.
the only speaker it doesn’t help is the MOVE but that supports 5Ghz Wi-Fi
Are you able to use your Amazon Echos? I’ve never been able to re-activate mine since I changed hubs
@makembillReset it/them to their factory settings and start again.
Depending on which device there are various methods of resetting.
1 if there is a small hole in the bottom, stick a paper clip in and hold for about 10 seconds.
or
2 press both the microphone mute button and the volume down button at the same time, holding for at least five seconds.
or
3 hold down the action button (The rightmost button) for roughly 30 seconds.
@makembillyes, I use Eco dots (3) and echo flex with no issues
Hello could we please be updated? Thanks
Updated for what?
Sorry I was responding to a message earlier on in the thread. A BT employer mentioned something about updating the firmware to allow the splitting of 2.4ghz and 5ghz WiFi? We've bought a baby monitor that isn't compatible with the 5ghz WiFi but we can't get it to connect to just the 2.4ghz WiFi. Any suggestions? We've got the bt smart hub 2.
There is no firmware to split the networks
Go to hub manager then wireless and turn off 5ghz network. Then connect your device to the 2.4ghz network now a d once connected re-enable 5ghz and device should be ok

Have you actually read any of the thread?
@licquorice your comment isn’t helpful. This thread is now 96 pages long. It’s not surprising people are missing or misunderstanding key points. Give the guy a break.
