30 days notice new provider

Go to solution

Hello, friend is coming to the end of contract and just for good measure gave 30 days notice.

They now want a new provider, will that notice block a new provider or will a new sign up just over ride the 30 day notice?

Many thanks

@kkkk

No that is the wrong way to do it. They need to contact their new provider, and they will inform BT that they are taking over their service.

Doing it any other way will result in a pending cease on the line, and will stop another provider taking over the line.

Hi, yes, that's what I was worried about.. I think they'll have to ring and cancel the 30 days notice first.. I did say to them there was no need to contact their current provider, but I think they were a bit confused...
