4G Mini Hub

I moved into a new build property at the start of lockdown and have been unable to get my phone and broadband set up (understandable). I have therefore been using a 4G Mini Hub for a few weeks with no problems. However, I have purchased a new smart tv and cannot get it to connect to the 4G hub - is there an obvious reason for this?

The TV connects ok to my mobile phone's 4G hotspot and therefore, TV company are saying it's a problem with the hub and not the TV. Can anyone help or clarify the reasoning?

Re: 4G Mini Hub

I'm not that technical, however does your 4g hub have 2.4 and 5 Ghz capability, if so does your TV connect to both or just 5 Ghz, what I'm trying to say is if the TV is 5 Ghz only and the hub is 2.4 Ghz only maybe they won't connect, or possibly the TV is confused by 2 channels so try switching one off. I'm just guessing...….

Re: 4G Mini Hub

Thanks - the 4g mini hub does have the option to switch between 2.4 and 5 GHZ so I have tried changing from 2.4 to 5 but it still doesn't want to connect.
