4g not working on Honor 10 after update

Go to solution

This morning my Huawai 10 completed an update which I believed changed the Android version.

It appears that since then the Mobile Internet no longer works - It finds the network, connects both on BT 4G (and 3G) but there is no data symbol.

Tried to restart, change config, everything, but no success.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hah, simple fix.

It seems the APN disappeared after the Update - adding the EE Internet APN solved it.

I had the same problem.

Just manually enter a new APN into your honor 10 from the network settings options.

Name: EE internet
APN: everywhere
Proxy: Not Required
Port: Not Required
Username: eesecure
Password: secure
Server: Not Required
MMSC: http://mms/

save and highlight the internet option you have just set.

This just worked for me.  On my Honor Play, after it updated to Pie (Android 9), my 4G disapeared and nothing I reset, or tweaked could get the 4G back.  Calls and texts worked, other SIMs worked but this one just wouldn't budge.

Go into Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Network>Access Point Names, then hit the three dots in the top right for the menu and chose "New APN".  Enter these settings....

Name: EE internet
APN: everywhere
Proxy: Not Required
Port: Not Required
Username: eesecure
Password: secure
Server: Not Required
MMSC: http://mms/

save and then make sure "EE internet" is the choice selected.  You should have you rmobile data back.
