5 year issue with mismatch postcode/landline

Good day Guys.
BT ARE STOPPING ME FROM CHANGING INTERNET PROVIDER .
I have my new provider ready to go but BT are making it difficult.
I have sent emails , I have done live chats , and I have spoken with them myself , I have contacted OpenReach(email) directly .. and guess what .. NOTHING IS DONE .
For 5-6 years or so MY POSTCODE DOES NOT MATCH MY LANDLINE, funny how my neighbours have the same postcode .
How can I change provider if BT do nothing but fill my head up with nonsense and then never get back to me .
Is there anything I can do to make this problem go away or am I stuck with BT forever.

Re: 5 year issue with mismatch postcode/landline

Hi @Kennykeego1 Sorry that you have been unable to move your services to another provider due to a postcode mismatch.

Is your landline a residential service with BT Retail?
Do you have Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) broadband?
Is your address correctly listed on the Royal Mail website?

Post back and let me know these answers and I'll be happy to help.

Cheers
John

Re: 5 year issue with mismatch postcode/landline

Hi @Kennykeego1 Thanks for posting back to answer those questions.

As you have a Fibre To The Premises service you will need to contact the FTTP team to get your address records updated.

Thanks
John
