700 Minutes Call Plan - Advance Warning on Usage

Checking through other threads on 700 Minutes Call Plan someone (Richie?) mentioned you are sent an email notifcation when you have reached 80% of the allocated minutes. Is this the only way of knowing you are getting close to the 700 minutes usage?

Re: 700 Minutes Call Plan - Advance Warning on Usage

You can check your phone usage by:

(a) My BT app on Android & iPhone/iPad and goto "your usage", "Landline usage"

(b) login to My BT on the BT website and go to " Your products", "Landline" "Manage", "View your calls", "See landline usage"

Thanks for the details.

I had gone through this process prior to posting and received this message:

Sorry, we're having problems loading your usage.

Having just moved to 700 minutes from unlimited it may be that the usage monitor isn't yet set up.

BT send reminders at 80% usage automatically, like @David500  mentioned you can track the usage yourself.
If you do exceed the 700 minutes 2 months in a row, you'd be upgraded to unlimited minutes as it would be more cost effective.

Re: 700 Minutes Call Plan - Advance Warning on Usage

Thanks.

As a total aside, this takes me back to about 25 years ago when I had dial up Internet connection. I can't recollect the number of  minutes I was allowed in the package,  but each evening I had to limit myself to short periods. And then the dreaded notification would arive to advise you are close to your limit, which meant a seriuos cut back to using the Internet until the next month started afresh.

David500

Does "Landline usage" also report usage prior to the next bill. I want know at any time what my usage is prior to receiving the email to say I am at the 80% figure?

At pesent I'm receiving a "Sorry" message as shown on the attached screen shot.

Yes it gives details of the calls made including date, time and duration. It states "Your usage will normally update within 4 hours"

Re: 700 Minutes Call Plan - Advance Warning on Usage

Thanks for the confirmation you are able to see your usage since your last bill.

Unfortunately I'm still unable to see my usage since the last bill but can see usage for all previous bills.

I chatted to BT Billing on 29/07/2021 who confirm that they also can't see my current usage and advised as I had only recently changed to 700 minute calling plan the usage should start to appear in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Hi @David500 and @allanraymond  and thanks for posting.

Sorry you're not able to view your usage on your MyBT. I'd like to take a closer look at his for you. I'll drop you both a private message now so you can get in touch.

Cheers

David
